Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is hiring a Front Load Driver to service commercial customers on assigned routes, hauling waste or recycling to disposal sites. You will operate on safe procedures and manage daily route logs.

Requirements include a valid Class B CDL, DOT medical card, 19 years of age, ability to travel between offices, and willingness to work nights/weekends. Rumpke offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand a map or navigation system.
• Required to enter/exit the truck approximately 100-150 times per day.
• Excellent truck driving/maneuvering skills.
• General knowledge of truck mechanics.
• Good written and verbal communication with customers.
• Must read and speak English well enough to understand directions and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks on assigned routes to remove trash or recycling and haul to disposal site.
• Maintain and update route sheets.
• Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections and DVIR logs.
• Maintain cleanliness of truck cab.
• Visually inspect front load containers for safe dumping procedures.
• Clean up areas around containers as needed.
• Open and secure service gates while servicing customers.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures during work.
• Service approximately 100–150 commercial customers per day.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
