Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Front Load Driver to service commercial customers on assigned routes, hauling waste or recycling to disposal sites. You will operate front-load trucks, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and maintain accurate route logs.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL, DOT medical card, and physical ability to lift. You will be driving in varying conditions, with nights and weekends as needed, and will interact professionally with customers while ensuring safety and

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map and/or navigation system.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks in a safe manner to provide trash or recycling removal services to customers on assigned route(s) and/or work orders by emptying trash/recycling containers into trucks and hauling them to a disposal site.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 100–150 times per day, depending on the assigned route.
• Open and secure service gates while servicing customers.
• Pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings as needed.
• Maintain and update route and driver log sheets.
• Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections and complete DVIR logs.
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned truck.
• Visually inspect front load containers to ensure safe dumping procedures.
• Clean up areas located around containers when servicing customers as needed.
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body while following proper Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
