Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Ohio seeks a Front Load Driver to service commercial customers on assigned routes, operate waste and recycling collection trucks, and ensure safe, efficient disposal at designated facilities. You will complete pre-trip inspections, maintain logs, and interact professionally with customers, complying with DOT requirements.

A valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card are required; willingness to work nights and weekends is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map and/or navigation system.
• Excellent truck driving/maneuvering skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with customers.
• Must read and speak English well enough to understand directions and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks safely to service customers on assigned routes.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck 100–150 times daily.
• Open/secure service gates during service.
• Pull/push containers as needed and maintain route logs.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and DVIR logs.
• Interact professionally with customers and maintain truck cleanliness.
• Inspect containers for safe dumping procedures.
