Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B.
• At least 21 years old.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial frontload or ancillary equipment along designated routes to collect solid waste.
• Open container enclosures or gates; position cans for dumping using casters.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and submit vehicle condition reports.
• Interact courteously with customers and notify supervisor of issues.
• Keep the work area clean and safe; manage spills around truck and site.
• Maintain DOT logbook, route productivity sheet, and post-trip inspection sheet.
• Back up and maneuver truck in tight spaces using mirrors.
• Use maps and GPS to locate service addresses and optimize routes.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and safe operating practices.
• Monitor for debris and ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, EPA rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
