Job summary

Gerhart is seeking a CDL Field Technician to install, calibrate, and maintain heavy capacity weighing equipment in the field. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on-site and lead projects while mentoring peers.

The role requires a CDL Class B, flexibility for overtime, and a strong mechanical or electrical background. You must be comfortable working outdoors and using industrial service tools.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B required (we’ll compensate current CDL holders)
• Overtime flexibility
• General mechanical or electrical background
• Ability to work outdoors in all conditions (heat, cold, dust, dirt)
• Familiarity with industrial service tools; welding experience is a plus
• Basic understanding of 120VAC/DC wiring
• Strength, stamina, and ability to bend, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs safely

Responsibilities

• Operate the Test Truck/Rig to install, calibrate, and maintain weighing equipment in the field
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with heavy capacity systems
• Lead projects and mentor peers on job sites
• Identify opportunities to help customers improve operations and provide solutions
