Job summary

Gerhart is seeking Field Service Technicians to perform on-site calibrations of weighing and material handling systems. You will safely operate company vehicles, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and repair weighing equipment while communicating clearly with customers and the Team Leader.

The role requires a mechanical or electrical background, willingness to work outdoors in all weather, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• General mechanical or electrical background.
• Customer-focused mindset and a self-starter attitude.
• Ability to work outdoors in all conditions (heat, cold, dust and dirt).
• Familiarity with industrial service tools; welding experience is a plus.
• Basic understanding of 120VAC/DC wiring.
• Strength, stamina, and willingness to bend, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
• Maintain valid Drivers license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough on-site calibrations of weighing and material handling systems.
• Safely operate company vehicles and equipment.
• Ability to mechanically troubleshoot, identify, and diagnose malfunctions and repair weighing equipment.
• Interact in a professional manner with customers and communicate task status with the customer and Team Leader.
