Job summary

Carlton Industrial Solutions is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and calibrate industrial weighing equipment at customer facilities. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems, perform installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs, while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree or technical training in electronics, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of electrical theory.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial, mechanical, or electromechanical equipment.
• Willingness to obtain a CDL within six months of hire (company-supported).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet DOT and customer requirements.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Ability to lift and move test weights and equipment (50–100 lbs.).
• Comfortable working in industrial environments and customer locations daily.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, repairs, and installations on industrial weighing equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems.
• Plan and execute service calls efficiently, ensuring safe and correct completion.
• Communicate findings, next steps, and service plans to customers.
• Document all work accurately, including calibration data, service notes, and timekeeping.
• Collaborate with CIS service and sales teams to support customer relationships and identify upgrades or improvements.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and work overtime as needed to meet demand.
• Maintain tools, inventory, and company equipment according to policy.
