Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A; all endorsements as required by the Company.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations in the last 3 years.
• Minimum 3 years over-the-road or local driving experience.
• Must pass and maintain DOT physical; pass DOT drug screen and hair follicle test (HFT).
• Must obtain all required local, state and Federal approvals to be certified as a CDL Examiner.
• Must communicate effectively using verbal, non-verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer CDL examinations as prescribed by state and Federal regulations and Company policies.
• Maintain safe driving and operation of testing equipment; take over controls if unsafe to prevent an accident.
• Maintain reliability and integrity of CDL exams and testing materials; report discrepancies.
• Attend CDL refresher classes and stay updated on testing procedures.
• Maintain professional conduct and adhere to all policies; treat others with respect.
• Submit all test evaluations and required reports fully and on time.
• Ensure testing equipment is neat, clean and properly maintained.
• Assist training department when available in accordance with regulations.
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function.
