Job summary

Roadmaster Drivers School is seeking a CDL Examiner to administer tests in a compliant and safe manner across all exam modules. You will ensure the proper operation of testing equipment and maintain the integrity of the exam process.

Qualifications include a valid CDL Class A, a clean driving record, DOT medical clearance, and successful completion of required drug and hair testing. A CDL Examiner certification is required or must be obtained, with excellent communication and leadership

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license with all endorsements as required by company.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations in last 3 years.
• Must pass and maintain DOT physical per FMCSA regulations.
• Must pass DOT drug screen and hair follicle test.
• Must hold or obtain CDL Examiner certification.
• High school diploma, GED or higher; strong verbal/written communication.

Responsibilities

• Administer CDL examinations per state and company policies and procedures.
• Ensure safe driving and operation of testing equipment; take over controls if unsafe.
• Maintain reliability and integrity of exams: Pre-trip, Basic Skills, Road tests; secure materials.
• Report discrepancies to supervisor; attend refresher classes and update procedures.
• Maintain professionalism and ethics; treat all stakeholders with respect.
• Submit all test evaluations and required reports accurately and on time.
• Wear appropriate uniform and keep testing equipment maintained.
• Assist training department when possible and as regulations allow.
• Maintain punctual attendance; perform other duties as assigned by management.
