Job summary

Clean Harbors in Wichita, KS is seeking a Class A CDL Equipment Operator to operate a variety of heavy and light trucks at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers and roll-offs, for hazardous waste cleanup.

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday with start times around 6-7 am, overtime after 40 hours, and on-call duties. A two-week out-of-state academy training is provided at company expense.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment
• Ability to use various mobile devices
• Perform physical functions per job requirements
• Background check, drug test, and medical exam may be required
• Respiratory protection standards compliance

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks
• Loading and unloading of trucks
• Manual labor on site to fulfill customer needs
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and reports
• Follow local, state, and federal regulations
• Safe vehicle operation under DOT rules
• Be on call for emergency response on rotating basis
• Site remediation and hazardous materials handling as required
