Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a dependable waste collection driver to operate a roll-off truck and related equipment, ensuring timely pickup and safe operations.

You will perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, document route sheets, report mechanical issues, and maintain route quality as directed by supervision.

Required: CDL, high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of commercial driving or CDL school; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must meet criteria for safety-sensitive functions per company standards.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate roll-off truck and ancillary equipment to collect waste.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and reports.
• Communicate mechanical problems to supervisor immediately.
• Maintain route quality standards as directed by management.
• Follow safety standards and company rules on vehicle operation.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed.
