Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Texas CDL Driver's License with P and S endorsements required.
• Pass an annual DOT physical and certifications.
• Experience in adult training or instruction is preferred.
• Experience with school bus operations and district policies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform transportation training including ELDT and Behind the Wheel with new and existing employees in accordance with Fort Bend ISD guidelines, DPS and DOT requirements.
• Train new employees on bus walk-around pre-trip and inspections to meet testing standards.
• Maintain required paperwork, reports and documentation for trainees.
• Provide training on student discipline techniques in line with district policies.
• Assist with development and implementation of safety and driver training programs.
• Coordinate and train for district and regional bus safety and road-eo activities.
