Job summary

Fort Bend ISD in Sugar Land, TX is seeking a part-time Driver Bus PT to provide safe and reliable transportation for students on assigned routes, following all laws and district policies. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, assist students, and communicate effectively with parents and staff.

Must hold a Texas CDL with P and S endorsements, pass DOT physical, and meet district certification requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Texas CDL Driver's License (Class A or B) with P and S endorsements.
• Texas School Bus Driver Certification; enrolled in first available class.

Responsibilities

• Transport students on assigned routes following traffic laws and Fort Bend ISD policies.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Report accidents or maintenance issues promptly per policy.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, and administrators.
• Complete required route changes and head counts timely.
• Maintain the interior of the bus clean and fueled as required.
• Assist special education students on/off the bus and with equipment as needed.
• Operate wheelchair lift equipment and assist with safety restraints.
