Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Driver Trainee in Oklahoma City to learn essential driver functions, including accurate distribution of products to customer locations. You will gain exposure to warehouse operations as part of becoming a McLane Driver.

Training includes earning a Class A CDL within 6 months and on-the-job experience with driver trainers. Pay during training is $24.10 per hour with comprehensive benefits starting Day 1, including medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, life insurance,

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
Ability and willingness to load/deliver all products as ordered.
Read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.

Responsibilities

Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
Operate truck safely in compliance with regulations and policies.
Inspect equipment for defects and submit DOT reports.
Document delivery receipts and product temperatures; ensure secure transport.
Ride and train with Driver Trainer to gain knowledge of driving regulations and vehicle operation.
Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
Assist in unloading trailer and delivering product to customer premises.
Other duties as assigned.
