Performance Food Group in Oak Creek, WI is seeking an entry-level Driver Trainee to learn tractor-trailer and straight-truck routes. You will train on local and potentially interstate deliveries, ensuring safety and DOT compliance while learning to unload and verify customer orders.

The role supports ongoing operations with paid training, shift flexibility, and a benefits package starting Day 1. Candidates must meet CDL/health requirements and be 21 or older.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent required.
• 0–6 months CDL driving experience for external hires; internal candidates may have 1 year of service and CDL permit access.
• Valid CDL A required; must be 21+ years old.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years; meet DOT health card requirements.
• Pass post-offer drug test and road test; maintain DOT Health Card at all times.
• Manual lifting up to 60–90 pounds and ability to operate lift equipment.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee program and maintain all training records.
• Ride with trainer, assist deliveries, and follow all instructions.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report safety issues.
• Deliver orders on schedule, unload, verify invoices, and collect signatures or payments as required.
• Ensure secure loading, proper paperwork, and vehicle security at all times.
• Log hours of service daily per DOT and company policy.
• Maintain clean tractor, trailer, and loading dock areas; perform related duties as assigned.
