Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking an entry-level Driver Trainee in Wisconsin to learn tractor trailer and straight truck routes. You will undergo a structured training program, assist a driver trainer, and perform required safety checks to ensure compliant deliveries of food products to customers.

Upon completion of training, a paid-earn component will begin. Candidates must have CDL A and DOT Health Card, be 21+, and maintain a clean MVR; excellent teamwork and customer service are valued in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid CDL A and DOT Health Card required.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program.
• Ride with and assist driver trainer during deliveries.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections per DOT regulations and report issues.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer loading; verify customer invoices and paperwork.
• Drive to deliver orders according to route schedule.
• Unload items, obtain signatures, and handle payments when required.
• Ensure equipment is secured and maintain daily hours-of-service records.
• Maintain cleanliness in tractor and dock areas; complete all required paperwork.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
