Brown Foodservice, Inc. CDL Driver Training Program prepares, trains, and develops potential drivers with the knowledge and skills to pass the state skills test and obtain a class "A" CDL. Trainees advance with a qualified trainer to support professional development.

Based out of our Marietta, Ohio shuttle point, you will be essential to our team servicing customers since 1942. During training you will drive tractor-trailer for deliveries, learn DOT compliance, maintain logs, and handle

Qualifications

• Must learn and adhere to DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Strong communication with management, drivers, sales, and customers.
• Basic math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailer and perform product deliveries along assigned routes to guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws related to DOT and traffic regulations.
• Maintain accuracy of delivered product with no damage due to mishandling.
• Communicate problems to the Senior Transportation Supervisor by phone.
• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip.
• Drive to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations.
• Maintain electronic driver log according to DOT regulations.
• Maintain telephone contact with supervisor for delivery/pickup instructions.
• Follow transportation policies, safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Ensure professional appearance and training compliance.
• Complete administrative tasks to support transportation operations.
