Job summary

Waste Management is seeking a CDL driver to operate heavy-duty trucks for waste or recyclable material collection on a Monday–Friday schedule, on-site at the designated location. The role requires adherence to safety rules, completion of inspections, and strong customer service during daily routes.

Ideal candidates have a CDL with air-brake endorsement and at least 1 year of CDL-driving experience, plus the ability to read and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B with air-brake endorsement required.
• 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving in the last 7 years.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operates the vehicle per Safety and Life Critical Rules, and DOT requirements.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections and documents DVIR.
• Reports unsafe conditions or issues to Operations Manager/Dispatch.
• Attends all required trainings and meetings.
• Works with Operations Manager to improve route efficiency.
• Notifies of incidents, accidents, or damage to property.
• Completes end-of-day documentation and checkout process.
• Assists other drivers as needed to meet customer needs.
