Job summary

US LBM in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a CDL Driver I to transport and deliver lumber and building materials. You will perform DOT inspections, maintain logs, and provide excellent service at job sites while ensuring safe loading and unloading.

Candidates need a High School Diploma or GED and a Class A or B CDL with 1–2 years CDL experience preferred. Inter-state travel may be required; operation of a truck-mounted forklift is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers required.
• 1-2 years CDL experience preferred.
• Experience transporting and handling lumber and building materials required.

Responsibilities

• Operates Class A or B commercial vehicles in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
• Delivers to active construction sites and completed locations; may involve inter-state travel.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Provides professional customer service and relays messages on job sites.
• Loads, unloads, and secures materials; ensures order accuracy before departure and on delivery.
• Maintains DOT logs and adheres to hours-of-service regulations.
• Operates truck-mounted forklift as needed for loading/unloading.
• Keeps truck clean and organized; assists with warehouse stocking and inventory.
