Job summary

US LBM is seeking a CDL Driver II in New Mexico to safely transport lumber and building materials to job sites and stores. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, manage DOT logs, and ensure load security while delivering to active construction sites and completed locations.

This role requires a Class A or B license, customer-focused service, adherence to DOT/HOS rules, and the ability to train and mentor newer drivers.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid Class A or B CDL license and clean driving record.
• Experience with lumber/building materials is preferred.
• Must be able to perform pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain DOT logs.

Responsibilities

• Operates Class A or B commercial vehicles in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
• Delivers to active construction sites and finished locations; may require inter-state travel.
• Performs DOT inspections and maintains compliance with federal regulations.
• Provides excellent customer service and professional conduct at all times.
• Organizes loads for safe transport and verifies order accuracy before departure and on delivery.
• Delivers and unloads materials, assists in unloading returns for credit as needed.
• Operates truck-mounted forklift to load, unload, and transport materials at job sites.
• Keeps the truck clean and well-maintained; assists in warehouse stocking and inventory organization.
• Trains and mentors incoming drivers on policies, safety procedures, and operations.
