Job summary

US LBM is seeking a CDL Driver I in Roswell, NM to transport and unload lumber and building materials to job sites and distribution points. You will perform daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections, manage DOT logs, and ensure safe, on-time delivery with professional customer service.

The role requires a Class A or B CDL, the ability to travel as needed, and to operate a forklift at sites. High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers preferred.
1-2 years CDL experience preferred.
Experience transporting and handling lumber and building materials required.

Responsibilities

Operates Class A or B commercial vehicles in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
Delivers to active construction sites and completed locations; may require city-based and inter-state travel.
Performs pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
Provides professional customer service and communicates with clients and supervisors on-site.
Secures loads and verifies orders for accuracy before departure and on delivery.
Maintains DOT logs of driving hours and rest periods in accordance with regulations.
Delivers and unloads materials, ensuring customer satisfaction at delivery.
Operates a truck-mounted forklift to load, unload, and transport materials.
Keeps the truck clean and organized; assists in inventory stocking in warehouses.
