Job summary

QQR Transport, based in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking an energetic CDL Driver Recruiter to own full-cycle recruitment for CDL holders and owner-operators. You will build a reliable pipeline to support fleet growth and ensure fast, compliant hiring decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a track record in recruiting CDL drivers, working with ATS, and collaborating with schools and associations to sustain candidate flow and retention.

Qualifications

• CDL driver recruiting experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience recruiting for OTR, regional, local, and/or dedicated CDL assignments.
• Demonstrated experience sourcing, screening, and interviewing Class A and/or Class B CDL drivers and owner-operators.
• Comfortable with high-volume outbound calling and a fast-paced, lead-driven recruiting environment.
• Working knowledge of the commercial trucking and transportation industry.
• Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA driver qualification requirements, driver qualification files, MVR/PSP review, and Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting for CDL Class A drivers, using ATS to source, screen, and interview candidates.
• Respond to new driver applications and inbound leads promptly — same-day contact is the standard.
• Conduct detailed phone and in-person interviews to assess CDL experience, equipment operated, route experience, endorsements, and overall fit.
• Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, job fairs, networks, schools, and associations.
• Build and maintain relationships with driving schools and industry associations for a steady candidate pipeline.
• Verify qualifications — including MVR, PSP, employment history, and background checks — in DOT/FMCSA standards.
• Develop recruiting strategies to meet hiring goals and seasonal needs.
