Job summary

Cobra Logistics Inc is seeking an experienced Driver Recruiter to source, screen, and onboard qualified CDL drivers for OTR and touch freight operations, ensuring FMCSA compliance and maintaining a safety-focused driver pool to support fleet growth.

You will identify and recruit CDL Class A drivers, conduct initial screenings, verify licensing and history, and guide candidates through onboarding. A strong pipeline and ATS experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years recruiting FMCSA-qualified drivers.
• Freight/logistics recruiting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of FMCSA Part 391 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit CDL Class A drivers through job boards, referrals, and networks.
• Screen candidates by phone or video to match driver qualifications.
• Verify CDL, MVR history, and prior employment per FMCSA standards.
• Coordinate pre-employment drug screening, background checks, and PSP reviews.
• Guide candidates through onboarding and orientation processes.
• Maintain accurate applicant tracking and driver qualification files.
• Collaborate with Safety & Compliance to ensure regulatory hires.
• Build and sustain a pipeline for ongoing fleet needs.

Cobra Logistics seeks an experienced Driver Recruiter to source, screen, and onboard qualified CDL drivers for OTR and touch freight operations, ensuring regulatory FMCSA compliance and a safety-focused driver pool to support fleet growth.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit CDL Class A drivers through job boards, referrals, and industry networks
• Perform initial phone or video screenings aligned with company driver qualification standards
• Verify CDL licensing, MVR history, and prior employment in accordance with FMCSA Part 391
• Coordinate pre-employment drug screening, background checks, and PSP report reviews
• Guide candidates through onboarding and orientation processes
• Maintain accurate applicant tracking and driver qualification files
• Collaborate with the Safety & Compliance team to ensure hires meet regulatory standards
• Build and sustain a strong pipeline of qualified drivers for ongoing fleet needs

Requirements

• 2+ years of CDL driver recruiting experience, with freight/logistics industry experience preferred
• Working knowledge of FMCSA driver qualification requirements (Part 391)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with ATS and recruiting software
• Ability to manage a high-volume recruiting pipeline
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
