Job summary

RoadStar LLC in Dayton, OH is seeking an experienced CDL-A Driver Recruiter to own driver recruitment for local and OTR fleets. The role focuses on building a proactive pipeline of qualified CDL-A candidates and developing new sourcing channels beyond incoming applications.

You will also assist with onboarding, orientation, retention, and employee relations, coordinating hiring processes and following up with candidates to ensure a smooth, compliant, and positive candidate experience.

Qualifications

• CDL-A driver recruiting experience preferred.
• Ability to source drivers and build pipelines beyond incoming applications.
• Knowledge of CDL driver recruiting platforms, sourcing methods and industry best practices.
• Strong phone, communication and follow-up skills.
• Creative and proactive approach to finding qualified drivers.
• Comfortable handling difficult conversations and onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new strategies to generate qualified CDL-A driver applicants
• Identify and build new recruiting channels and candidate pipelines
• Recruit CDL-A drivers for local and OTR positions
• Proactively source, call, text, and follow up with prospective drivers
• Manage applicants from Indeed, Driver Pulse, referrals, and other recruiting sources
• Track recruiting results and determine which sources and strategies are producing hires
• Screen candidates and coordinate the hiring and pre-employment process
• Conduct new-driver orientation and onboarding
• Check in with new hires and assist with driver retention
• Handle routine driver coaching, disciplinary conversations, and documentation
• Assist management with driver offboarding when necessary

RoadStar LLC is looking for an experienced CDL-A Driver Recruiter to take ownership of driver recruiting and help grow our local and OTR fleet. This is a full time job Monday through Friday in the office.

Our priority is finding someone who can do more than manage incoming applications. We need a recruiter who can proactively develop new recruiting channels, build a consistent pipeline of qualified CDL-A candidates, and generate more driver applicants.

This position will also assist with driver onboarding, orientation, retention, and employee relations.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous CDL-A driver recruiting experience strongly preferred
• Proven ability to source drivers and build candidate pipelines - not just process incoming applicants
• Knowledge of CDL driver recruiting platforms, sourcing methods, and industry best practices
• Strong phone, communication, and follow-up skills
• Creative and proactive approach to finding qualified drivers
• Comfortable working directly with drivers and handling difficult conversations
• Organized and able to manage recruiting activity from initial contact through hire
• Experience with Driver Pulse or similar recruiting software is a plus
