As a CDL Driver Recruiter, you will manage our full hiring pipeline to fill open trucks with safe, dependable CDL Class A drivers. This role handles sourcing, screening, onboarding, and ongoing driver engagement in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. You will place a heavy emphasis on compliance, safety, and driver welfare while partnering closely with our safety, compliance, and dispatch teams to architect a high-performance regional network.

You Will:

Full-Cycle Sourcing & Sales

• Active Pipeline Management: Manage full-cycle recruitment for CDL drivers across multiple lanes and terminals. Source candidates via trucking job boards, cold calling, SMS outreach, and database mining.
• Marketing & Referrals: Assist in developing recruitment marketing strategies and manage lucrative driver referral programs to expand our candidate network.
• The Pitch: Confidently pitch our unique value proposition—including home-daily options, competitive hourly pay structures, consistent schedules, and benefits to prospective drivers.
• Relationship Building: Build positive, trust-based relationships with candidates through phone, email, and in-person communication from the first touchpoint.

Screening & Compliance

• Rigorous Vetting: Screen candidates thoroughly by reviewing applications, employment histories, and CDL verifications.
• Background & Compliance Clearances: Submit background checks and manage applicant tracking via J. J. Keller, confirming completion of all steps—including MVR, PSP, and DOT Clearinghouse records-h throughout the application process.
• Screening Coordination: Coordinate drug screens, DOT physicals, and road tests in tight alignment with internal safety and compliance teams.

Onboarding & Driver Engagement

• Seamless Transitions: Guide new hires through the entire onboarding process, clearly communicating offer details, pay structures, dispatch handoffs, start-date logistics, and processing all new hire paperwork.
• Retention Focus: Build and maintain relationships with drivers post-hire to support driver welfare, engagement, and long-term retention.

Market Intelligence & Administration

• Data & Metrics: Track requisitions, recruiting metrics, and pipeline data to measure results, drive continuous improvement, and ensure clear performance expectations are met.
• Market Monitoring: Monitor competitor postings and market pay rates across multiple US states to ensure Einride remains highly competitive.

We expect you to:

• The Experience: 3-5 years in high-volume driver recruiting, safety & training, or fleet operations within the transportation industry. Experience hiring drivers across multiple US states is highly preferred. Previous sales or customer-facing experience is a major plus.
• The Knowledge: Strong familiarity with HOS (Hours of Service), DOT regulations, driver welfare practices, and industry compliance tools.
• The Skills:
  • Sales & Communication: Strong phone sales skills with the ability to engage candidates confidently. Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Integrity & Precision: High attention to detail and personal integrity, especially when handling sensitive compliance and safety screening.
  • Drive: Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

The Tech Stack: Hands-on experience with modern Applicant Tracking Systems and driver qualification software (preferably J. J. Keller), alongside strong familiarity with automated outreach and digital recruitment marketing tools.
