Job summary

Road & Rail Services is hiring Railroad Track Worker / Equipment Operator to support maintenance projects across the regional area. A valid CDL is required, and railroad experience is not necessary as we provide comprehensive training.

This full-time, travel-based role offers hands-on work outdoors, operating track maintenance equipment, and traveling to different project sites. Starting pay ranges from $25 to $27 per hour, with benefits and advancement opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL at time of application.
• Must be willing to travel regionally, including overnight stays.
• Able to perform physically demanding outdoor work.
• No railroad experience required; CDL holders will be trained.

Responsibilities

• Assist with railroad track construction, inspection, maintenance, and repairs.
• Learn to replace railroad ties, repair track components, and maintain railroad infrastructure.
• Operate or assist with equipment such as backhoes, loaders, tampers, and other track maintenance machinery.
• Transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites using company vehicles.
• Follow railroad safety regulations, company procedures, and supervisor instructions.
