Job summary

Loram Maintenance of Way, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician – CDL to deliver on-site maintenance and customer service across a defined region, maintaining unit uptime and supporting railroad fuel economy and wheel/rail life.

The role demands problem solving, independent work, strong communication, and the ability to travel 100%. A CDL is required; pre-employment screenings and background checks apply. Excellent benefits and competitive compensation are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Maintenance of railroad safety training and certifications.
• Ability to obtain a CDL.
• Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical preferred.
• 1+ years of field service with customer-facing role preferred.
• 2+ years in railroad environment, field service, and basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Service top-of-rail and gauge-face lubricator units to guidelines.
• Perform lubrication service program for railroad customers.
• Use logic and methods to solve problems and find solutions.
• Understand and follow railroad and Loram operating rules.
• Manage inventory on maintenance vehicle and plan work schedules.
• Work independently to meet objectives.
• Process work orders, delivery tickets, warranty paperwork and returns.
• Proactively resolve problems.
• Build customer and supplier relations and meet customer expectations with Sales.
