Covenant Logistics is seeking a Driver Development specialist to advance training, root-cause analysis, and safety initiatives across our Dedicated Business Unit. The role focuses on reducing driver turnover by improving safety and driving competency through structured assessments and coaching.

The position requires CDL-A and transportation experience, with responsibilities spanning training development, on-site driver evaluations, and collaboration with operations to implement safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's preferred.
• Must hold a valid Class A CDL and transportation industry experience.
• Ability to travel to customer sites to assess environments and prevent accidents.

Responsibilities

• Learn hazmat for driver training and compliance.
• Identify training needs for Safety Department classes and driving-related topics.
• Investigate improvement opportunities within fleet, enterprise, and industry.
• Collaborate with Operations to determine improvements and drive safety.
• Conduct random driver checks to ensure policy compliance and safe driving.
