Job summary

QXO, based in Des Moines, is seeking a professional CDL driver to join our on-site logistics team. You will handle touch-freight, inspect loads, and coordinate with dispatch to ensure safe, timely deliveries.

The role requires a Class A or B CDL, NCCCO certification or boom truck experience, at least 12 months of verifiable driving, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. Teamwork and safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• NCCCO certification and/or boom truck experience required.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE.
