Job summary

QXO is a leading distributor and installer of building products, seeking a driver to perform touch-freight tasks, inspect trucks, and ensure safe loading/unloading at sites. You will coordinate with dispatchers to meet delivery timelines and follow all safety procedures in all weather conditions.

Qualified candidates have NCCCO, Knuckle Boom experience, a valid Class B CDL, and at least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class B CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• NCCCO certification required.
• Knuckle Boom experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE.
