Job summary

QXO is seeking a safety-conscious driver for dock loading/unloading and vehicle operation in the Northeast region. You will perform touch-freight tasks, pre-inspect trucks, and ensure loads are accurate and safe.

Responsibilities include coordinating with dispatch, adhering to DOT rules, and maintaining PPE. Must be 21+, hold a valid Class A or B CDL, and have 12+ months driving experience; outdoor work in all weather is expected.

Qualifications

• Knuckle Boom experience required.
• NCCCO preferred.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid Class A or B CDL in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and manual transmission trucks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, lifting, moving, or carrying products up to 75 lbs+.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect site for safe loading/unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher for timely deliveries.
• Follow all DOT and safety procedures and wear PPE.

What you'll do:

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE

What you'll bring:
