Job summary

QXO is seeking a CDL Class A/B driver to join our Des Moines team, delivering building products to customers and ensuring accurate loads. This role requires physical effort, safety‑consciousness, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather.

You will perform touch‑freight tasks, pre‑inspect trucks, load materials, communicate with dispatch, and help maintain a safe job site in compliance with DOT procedures. Teamwork and dependability are essential.

Qualifications

• CDL license class A or B required.
• 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• NCCCO certification and/or boom truck experience preferred but training available.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE.

What You’ll Bring

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
• NCCCO certification and/or boom truck experience preferred but willing to train
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
