Job summary

Qualifications

• CDL or CLP required before entering job classification.
• MVR must meet hiring standards.
• DOT regulatory requirements under FMC regulations.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift average 100 pounds multiple times daily.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and move as required.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete required training.
• Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and required documentation.
• Communicate with Dispatch and follow instructions.
• Comply with hazmat regulations and placarding requirements.
• Provide internal and external customer service.
• Fulfill related duties such as city driver or freight handler when needed.
• Handle freight with equipment like forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
