Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Colorado is seeking a driver trained to operate tractor-trailer units, including doubles and straight trucks, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, hook/unhook trailers, secure freight, and manage documentation. The role also involves forklift and dock duties, communication with dispatch, and meeting delivery needs under DOT regulations and company policies. Flexibility in hours is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL or CLP with acceptable MVR.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Basic math, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to lift and handle freight up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work independently or in a team, follow instructions, and complete training.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer units including doubles and straight trucks.
• Conduct safety inspections before and after trips.
• Hook/unhook trailers and convertor dollies.
• Handle freight using motorized and manual equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Secure freight inside trailers with straps, ropes, and pallets.
• Manage damaged freight and complete necessary documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding shipments, delays, and delivery needs.
• Follow safety regulations, including hazardous material handling, and adhere to company policies.
• Perform additional duties such as tire chaining or road driving when required.
