Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Blacksburg, VA is seeking a professional truck driver to operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and straight trucks, to move trailers between service centers. Responsibilities include driving, performing safety inspections, hooking/unhooking trailers, maintaining logs, and completing required documentation.

Non-driving duties may involve forklift operation, working at docks, and freight handling with motorized and manual equipment; adherence to safety

Qualifications

Valid Class A CDL or learning permit.
Acceptable MVR.
Compliance with DOT regulations.
Basic math, communication skills, and ability to follow instructions.
Physical ability to lift approximately 100 pounds, sit for extended periods, and perform vehicle hooking/unhooking.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and straight trucks, to move trailers between service centers and turn-point locations.
Perform safety inspections and maintain logs.
Hook/unhook trailers and complete required documentation.
May operate forklift, work at docks, and handle freight with motorized and manual equipment.
Adhere to safety regulations and DOT hazardous materials rules; communicate with dispatch.
