Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro is seeking a driver to operate tractor-trailer combinations and perform related dock and forklift duties. The role emphasizes hands-on learning and safe operation, with responsibilities spanning freight handling, documentation, and coordination with dispatch.

The position focuses on developing practical skills through on-the-job training in a fast-paced logistics environment along with adherence to DOT regulations and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL or equivalent permit.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Adherence to DOT regulations.
• Basic math, communication, and physical strength to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to sit, bend, climb in/out of trucks, and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers, including doubles and straight trucks.
• Conduct safety inspections before and after trips.
• Hook/unhook trailers and handle freight with motorized/manual equipment.
• Secure freight using pallets, straps, and ropes.
• Manage damaged freight and complete necessary documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding deliveries and pickups.
• Follow safety regulations, company policies, and handle hazardous materials as required.
• Assist as needed with road driving or freight handling duties.
