Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro is seeking a professional truck driver to operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and straight trucks, for interplant freight movements. You will drive, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, hook/unhook trailers, and maintain accurate logs and documentation while coordinating with dispatch on operational events.

Responsibilities may include forklift operation, dock work, and freight handling with motorized/manual equipment.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a valid Class A CDL or CLP, an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record, and meet DOT regulatory requirements.
• Basic math, communication skills, physical ability to lift approximately 100 pounds, and the capacity to sit, bend, and climb in/out of trucks are essential.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and straight trucks, to pick up and deliver trailers between service centers and turn-point locations.
• Drive and perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, hook/unhook trailers, and maintain accurate logs and documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding operational events and adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
• Non-driving duties may include forklift operation, dock work, freight handling using motorized/manual equipment, and chaining tires.
