QXO is a leading distributor and installer of building products actively seeking a professional CDL-A driver to join our team in Winterville, NC. You will pre-inspect trucks, load materials, and ensure accurate delivery while maintaining DOT compliance and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 12 months of verifiable driving experience, are willing to work outdoors in all weather, and can operate both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE.
