Job summary

QXO is seeking a driver to join our team in Salem, Oregon. The role involves touch-freight tasks, loading and unloading, and ensuring loads are secured and delivered safely and on time.

You will inspect trucks, communicate with dispatch, and follow DOT safety procedures. Candidates must have a Class A or B CDL, 12 months of verifiable driving experience, and be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, lifting/carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the load
• Notify branch management of potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe loading/unloading environment
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery
• Follow DOT and company safety procedures, and wear PPE

What you'll bring:
