Job summary

QXO, a leading distributor and installer of building products, seeks a CDL driver to support our distribution and loading operations. You will perform touch-freight, inspect trucks, and verify loads to ensure timely, safe deliveries.

Candidates must hold a valid Class A or B CDL and have at least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, paid training, PTO, holidays, and more.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, possibly lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect site to ensure a safe loading/unloading environment.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher for timely deliveries.
• Follow DOT and company safety procedures and wear PPE.

What You'll Do

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading

What You'll Bring

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
