Job summary

Lansing Building Products, a builder of high-quality building materials, is seeking a CDL Driver to join our team in Portland, OR. The role involves delivering products to job sites, working in the warehouse, and providing exceptional customer service while representing Lansing to customers and crews.

Responsibilities include operating a moffett forklift, maintaining safety standards, and occasionally handling cycle counts or inside sales tasks. No weekend work is expected in this posting.

Qualifications

• CDL license (B or A) required.
• Forklift experience preferred, moffett a plus.
• Clean driving record and ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Strong customer service skills and integrity.
• Experience with building products is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Split time between delivering and warehouse tasks.
• Use moffett forklift to make deliveries.
• Provide outstanding customer service and represent Lansing.
• Interact with customers and crews at job sites.
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
• May perform other duties such as cycle counts or inside sales.

HOME EVERY NIGHT! CDL Driver's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)

CDL Driver Responsibilities

• Lives the mission statement
• Acts as a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
• Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
• Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries
• Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites
• Provides exceptional service to each Lansing customer…and constantly strive to improve that level of service
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
• This is a "get-the-job-done" kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license is required for this position
• CDL Driver must have a clean driving record
• Have moffett forklift experience
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds
• Experience with building products is very helpful
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At least one year of driving experience
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
