Job summary

S&ME is seeking a full-time Driller with CDL to join our Field Exploration team in Knoxville, Tennessee. You will support and coordinate drilling operations, mentor assistants, and ensure safe, quality work on diverse geotechnical projects.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 3 years drilling experience, and CDL with a valid driller license. You must be able to travel with paid hotels and per diem and work outdoors year-round.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of geotechnical or environmental drilling experience.
• CDL and valid driller license required.
• Knowledge of hollow stem auger, mud rotary, and rock coring methods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee drilling operations for assigned projects and mentor assistants.
• Mobilize drilling equipment and coordinate materials with management approval.
• Maintain, clean, and calibrate testing and inspection equipment.
• Ensure compliance with drilling standards and project specifications.
• Coordinate daily activities of driller assistants and report progress.
