Job summary

Star Lumber & Supply is seeking a safety-focused CDL Class A and/or Class B Delivery Driver to transport and deliver building materials to customer sites and company locations. You will serve as an ambassador, ensuring timely, professional, and damage-free deliveries while complying with DOT regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities include operating various trucks and forklifts, load verification, accurate documentation, and coordinating with dispatch and customers.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or Class B license and clean MVR.
• DOT knowledge and compliance with safety standards.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A/B trucks and equipment as assigned.
• Deliver building materials to residential/commercial sites.
• Verify loads and confirm deliveries with customers.
• Secure cargo per DOT requirements and inspect loads.
• Maintain logs, reports, and delivery paperwork.
• Communicate with dispatch, yard personnel, customers, and sales teams.
• Assist with loading/unloading as needed.
• Inspect products for damage and discrepancies.
• Adhere to safety policies and hours-of-service rules.
