Job summary

STAR LUMBER & SUPPLY CO., INC is seeking a safety-focused CDL Class A and/or Class B Delivery Driver to transport and deliver building materials to customer sites and company locations. You will represent the company with timely, professional deliveries while adhering to DOT regulations and safety standards.

The role requires load verification, proper cargo securing, and strong communication with dispatch and customers.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or Class B license.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A/B equipment and deliver vehicles.
• Deliver building materials to residential and commercial sites.
• Verify loads for accuracy and confirm deliveries with customers.
• Secure cargo using proper load securement techniques and DOT requirements.
• Conduct pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections; complete required paperwork.
• Maintain electronic logs and delivery records.
• Communicate with dispatch, yard staff, customers, and sales teams.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
• Inspect deliveries for damage and report shortages.
