Qualifications

Overview
TerraWorks, LLC is seeking a skilled and dependable CDL Crew Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and have hands‑on experience leading a construction crew in the field, operating equipment, and performing general labor duties in various construction projects. You will be responsible for transporting equipment, materials, operating machinery when necessary, and performing tasks related to site preparation, maintenance, and construction.

Responsibilities

• Operate CDL vehicles to transport heavy equipment, tools, and materials to and from job sites.
• Lead a crew, and work alongside a team of laborers on daily tasks, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with the project manager or supervisor regarding schedules, progress, and potential issues.
• Ensure all crew members follow safety protocols and company procedures.
• Assist with hands‑on construction tasks as needed, including site prep, equipment setup, and general labor.
• Conduct daily equipment checks and ensure vehicles and machinery are maintained and operating properly.
• Train new crew members on safety and standard operating procedures.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL (Class A) required.
• NACE/AMPP CP1 or CIP1 preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to pass a federal background check and regular drug screenings.
• Proven experience operating equipment such as excavators, loaders, or similar machinery.
• Prior experience in construction or a related industry.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices and willingness to adhere to company safety policies.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation to job sites.
• Must be willing to travel. This job will require multiple weeks (3-5) on the road at a time, with 7-10 days at home in-between.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work in various conditions for extended periods.
