Job summary

Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano is seeking a Class B Driver / MFP Site Coordinator in Fairfield. You will operate the Mobile Food Pharmacy truck, deliver healthy boxes, and coordinate each distribution from setup to wrap-up, engaging clients, volunteers, and partner organizations.

This is a full-time, non-exempt role requiring physical work, DOT/FMCSA compliance, and the ability to work at multiple sites.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with air brake endorsement and clean driving record.
• Able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Able to work independently and with colleagues.
• Willing to report to Concord or Fairfield on short notice.
• Comfort engaging with large groups at remote distribution sites.
• Committed to engaging respectfully across diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Drive Mobile Food Pharmacy truck to distribution sites in compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Coordinate site setup, manage volunteers, and respond to client/volunteer needs.
• Weigh inbound/outbound product and complete daily paperwork.
• Load/unload produce using forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
• Manage produce distribution and respond to questions or concerns.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per 49 CFR § 396.13.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance logs and keep areas clean and sanitary.
• Maintain driver logs and Hours of Service with ELD.
• Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations including hours of service and drug testing.
