Orica is seeking a CDL Class B Driver (Explosives Delivery & Service) in Homer, GA to operate bulk trucks, delivering blasting products to mining, quarry, and construction sites while supporting safe blasting operations.

This hybrid role involves approximately 40% driving and 60% field work, with outdoor duties and a strong emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service. Overtime and early starts are common.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of driving and/or material handling experience.
• Solid understanding of DOT regulations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and basic math skills to manage daily inventory tasks.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and urgent tasks to maintain efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Hybrid position: ~40% driving and ~60% physical field work.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Operate emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks.
• Handle, store, and use raw materials and hazardous goods per safety rules.
• Minimize environmental impact through waste reduction and controls.
• Report any unusual incidents or accidents immediately.
• Participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings.
