Orica is seeking a CDL Class B Driver (Explosives Delivery & Service) in Charlestown, IN. The role combines hands-on field work with vehicle operation, delivering blasting products to mining, quarry, and construction sites while prioritizing safety and regulatory compliance.

The position is hybrid, with roughly 40% driving and 60% physical work outdoors. Candidates should have a valid Class B CDL, strong safety focus, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in driving and/or material handling.
• Solid understanding of DOT regulations required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and basic math skills for inventory tasks.

Responsibilities

• This is a hybrid position, approximately 40% driving and 60% physical work.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Operate emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks as part of daily responsibilities.
• Ensure raw materials and hazardous goods are handled, stored, and used in compliance with safety requirements.
• Minimize environmental impact through waste reduction and control practices.
• Immediately report any unusual incidents or accidents.
• Participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings.
