Orica is seeking a CDL Class B Driver to deliver and install blasting products for customers in mining, quarry, and construction sites from Madisonville, KY. The role blends driving with hands-on field work, emphasizing safety, accuracy, and customer service.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, trailer hookups, and handling hazardous materials with strict adherence to DOT regulations. Local driving, early starts, and potential overtime define the schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of driving and/or material handling experience.
• Solid understanding of DOT regulations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Hybrid role with approx. 40% driving and 60% physical work.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking and refilling fluid levels.
• Safely hook up and unhook trailers.
• Operate emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks as part of daily duties.
• Ensure handling of hazardous materials complies with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Minimize environmental impact through waste reduction and control practices.
• Report unusual incidents or accidents immediately.
• Participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings.
