Job summary

Orica in Bloomery, WV, is seeking a CDL Class B Driver (Explosives Delivery & Service) to operate bulk trucks and deliver blasting products to mining, quarry, and construction sites. The role blends driving with hands-on field work.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of driving and/or material handling experience.
• Solid understanding of DOT regulations.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and basic math for inventory tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize urgent needs.

Responsibilities

• Hybrid role: 40% driving and 60% physical work.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking and refilling fluid levels.
• Operate emulsion tanker trucks and box trucks as part of daily responsibilities.
• Ensure raw materials and hazardous goods are handled, stored, and used in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Minimize environmental impact through waste reduction and control practices.
• Immediately report any unusual incidents or accidents.
• Actively participate in daily toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings to promote a safe and collaborative work environment.
